Castro Defects

QUINCY, MA -- The Sluggers have traded future Sluggers legend Starlin Castro to the Melrose Warriors for a bouquet of draft picks.  Castro now joins Giancarlo Stanton and Carlos Gonzalez as three of the least available players in the league.

The Deal:
Warriors receive:  Starlin Castro, Grant #9 and Leo #9
Sluggers receive:  Veno #2 and Lisi #5

Three Team Blockbuster Trade Annouced

The 3-way was consummated behind a dumpster in the Gilbert, AZ branch.

ALEXANDRA, VA -- Ownership of three teams, Fenway Flats, Metalheads, and Chin Music, worked deep into the night and have agreed on a three team, 9-player trade.

Metalheads receive:  Buster Posey, David Wright

Chin Music receives:  Joey Votto, Clayton Kershaw, Matt Wieters

Fenway Flats receive: Evan Longoria, Jay Bruce, Billy Butler, Max Scherzer

When reached for comment, Metal heads ownership confirmed the trade saying, "this is so fucking awesome.  I don't think I've ever done a 3-way.  This couldn't have happened without me, because I'm awesome and a 2-time champ.  Pass the bowl."  One owner commented on the pure baseball nature of the trade saying, "it helps all three teams and there were no dumb ass picks involved to muck it up.  That is why this trade got done."  Team Thunderlips Co-Owner, Accountant, Head Athletic Trainer, Part-time Mayor of Phoenix, and Chief of Custodial Services simply commented, "People moving talent."

This trade is a sure sign that the hot stove is heating up heading into the winter meetings this weekend.

QUINCY, MA -- The South Shore Sluggers continue their off season rennaissance by making a deal with the Pilgrims, swapping C Carlos Santana and a #10 pick in exhange for C Joe Mauer and the STARS #12 pick.
