Pilgrims Break Milton Curse!

Corey Seager is pissed for greatness!

The Boston Pilgrims finally solved their playoff woes by defeating the Fenway Flats 9-4 in a tightly contested series.  The Pilgrims franchise is the most consistent regular season franchise in league history.  Along with the Chin Music, they are one of two franchises to eclipse the 2000 win mark during this season.  However, when the calendar turns to October the Pilgrims usually turn to pumpkins as all of their success has only yielded one previous finals appearance and an iconic, gut-wrenching loss at the hands of Eric Milton.  This season, the narrative changed and the Pilgrims joined the fabled McGrane green T-shirt club.

Other items of note this season:
  • Aforementioned 2000 win club members: Boston Pilgrims, Chin Music.
  • Pilgrims tied Flats and Chin Music with their 5th Division Title in franchise history.
  • DC Dynasty now accepts the honor of being the winningest franchise to never win a title.
  • Fenway Flats tied Chin Music as the only two teams to make the finals 5 times, and join Metalhead Empire and Chin Music with a 38% final rate.
  • Pilgrims have now qualified for the postseason 10 times, Most in league history.
  • Dynasty has made 9 playoff appearances without advancing to the championship round.
  • Yellow Stars became the first team to eclipse the 2000 loss plateau.
  • Multiple Scorgasms has won two division titales and both of those titles were as regular season champion.
  • Abusement Park achieved the lowest winning percentage in league history .327 and tied the league record for most losses (192) in a season (Goin' Yard '10).
  • Multiple Scorgasms (166) broke a franchise record for wins.

Hamels Moved 5 Days Away From Keeper Deadline

MANCHESTER, NH --  The Boston Pilgrims have acquired Cole Hamels in exchange for Corey Dickerson.  Team GM was quoted as saying, "Our projections show that Dickerson does not perform well outside of a humidor.  Although Tropicana Field is enclosed, the relative humidity within the building doesn't reach 'humidor levels'."  This trade signifies a change in philosophy of the franchise, and a willingness on the part of the Pilgrims to acquire old pitching.
