Constitution

WAKEFIELD, MA -- I want to remind everyone that this website has the most(ly) up-to-date version of our league rules and Constitution linked in the navigation bar across the top.  Please feel free to read at your leisure.  Also, given our rocky season for rules and governance I added a clause that I believe encapsulates the spirit of what I believe my role as commissioner and your rule as my subjects are in this relationship.

Seriously, I think this paragraph that I borrowed from a FBB website covers a lot of areas in which we have had some strife over the past few months including trade review and loopholes such as so called "rental trades."  My goal is to always support the enjoyment of all and the preservation of the continuity of this league and I will always try to be as neutral and democratic minded as possible, but reserve the right to go off the rails on occasion in the best interest of the league as a whole.

"Our rule-set obviously does not always cover all specific instances that might arise during a season. "The Spirit of The Rules" intends that 1) no owner will be unfairly or unnecessarily penalized for events beyond his/her control; while, at the same time, 2) no owner will be permitted to “get over” at the expense of other owners due to loopholes. With this in mind, the Commissioner is empowered to make decisions on such issues—after consulting with at least some but not necessarily all league members—as the situation dictates. Owners are expected to use their common sense in this regard, and not search for or take advantage of loopholes that may exist. Accordingly, owners who discover circumstances not covered by the rules should notify the Commissioner immediately.”

WILDCARD CHAMPIONSHIP!

Kris Bryant seen violating the National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984.
WESTBOROUGH - In the 12th Championship Series in league history, the Wildcard franchise defeated the Chin Music franchise to win their 1st ever Championship.  The Wilcard previously made it to the Championship game in 2007 when they were defeated by the Fenway Flats.  Chin Music was denied a third title in their history and a back-to-back championship bid.  This was the 4th time the Chins have made it to the championship game, which is tied for a league record in championship appearances with the Flats.

Also of note, the Yellowcard franchise qualified for their first postseason in franchise history snapping a 12-yr drought that dated back to the league's inception in 2004.

Enjoy the off-season and check back here for league news.
